Question about the police department?
When I grow up I want to work with Henderson Police Department (in NV). Which get paid more, k-9 cops or regular cops? Just a question :)

usually same pay - in my jurisdiction gotta be a regular officer first run - run - run all the best

Regular cops actually get payed more, because its almost but not really rare to call in the k-9. you cant use a k-9 on a usual traffic stop. Theres your answer!

In my department the patrol officers and K-9 officers are on the same pay scale. K-9 officers often will have some built in overtime or monthly stipend to cover costs of feeding and caring for their partner on off days.

Where establishment can a 14 year old work?
Im looking for a place in Henderson Las Vegas that hires at fourteen. other than that the only requirement is it is a job such as a bus boy, cashier, bagger, waiter, etc... Basically good starter job.

From what I remember, very few places would hire anyone under 21. If the place has slot machines, you have to have a sheriff's card, and you can't get one of those until you're 21. The laws might have changed since I worked there, but I doubt it. Vegas is a gambling town, and there's not much to do there if you're under 21.

well you cannot get job until you are of age (16) so no where. deal with it

Check your local restaurants, and McDonalds, I heard that they hire at 14. Ignore what the other people say about not being able to get a job until you're 16. You may be able to get a job, but you won't necessarily get paid minimum wage.

How do you use the henderson-hasselbalch equation to calculate changes in pH?
im trying to work out the answer to this but i keep getting stuck..can you please explain it in a really *simple* way? The pH of a buffer solution made up of acetic acid (0.100 mol L-1) and sodium acetate (0.100 mol L-1) is 4.76. How much will the pH of this buffer change if 100 mL of 0.100 mol L-1 HCl is added to 1.00 L of the buffer solution?

The added acid will protonate the acetate, thus lowering its concentration. The acetic acid concentration will rise. We needed to determine the moles of Ac- and HAc present before adding the HCl. Both are 0.1 mole. You may verify this. we added (0.1 L) (0.1 mol/L) = 0.01 mole of HCl. Therefore the HAc goes from 0.1 mol to 0.11 mole and the Ac- goes 0.1 mol to 0.09 mol. Notice that the total volume rises from 1 L to 1.1 liter. This will create new molarities, but I will ignore the molarity calculation. This is because the ratio portion of the H-H will work just fine with the mole amounts. pH = 4.76 + log (0.09/0.11) gives the answer.

You have a one year warranty from sony when you buy your PS3, just call up sony customer care and they'll replace it or fix it for free.

How can I get this to work, could use some tips?
I have asked this a few months ago but I could some tips from people who may have done it before. How I attract birds into building a nest where I live? Our Town-house has a balcony that seems pretty safe(well it looks safe to me) but what I wanted to know how do I get birds to build a nest here? I don't have a birdhouse or bird feeder, most of the birds that live around here are Grackles, Pigeons and a few Sparrows. I live in Henderson, NV(in short I live in Las Vegas). But how do I attract birds into build a nest here without a birdhouse? No jokes or wise cracks please, but I would like some advice from someone who has done this before.

Check out www.animalplanet.com. They have a program on I believe Saturday or Sunday morning about how to attract animals to your garden. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it but you'll recognize it when you see it on the website because it says something about the back yard or gardens....something of that nature (oh, no nature pun intended). Good luck.

First you should make sure that the balconey is not too visited by humans .. in other words it is neglected second I think is to buy bird food and put the food where you want the birds to nest .. and keep putting food on regular basis .. and try to make the place secure .. and then when it is time to nest (different birds nest on different times) try to put some stuff for the birds to use for their nests .. and try to put it in the place you want the birds to nest .. maybe even try to create a nest or so .. anyway the bird will do it all over again but still you would have tried to help hope this will work
