In Las Vegas, Nevada where is the best place for a 14 year old to work at?
I've been looking around for some places to work at but im not sure if they will hire me because of my age. I've been looking at the Henderson Multi-genl center, Smiths, Brooklyn Bagal, Dairy Queen, and Gamecrazy. Any help???

I don't think they will hire you yet. But you can ask them or you can do odd jobs if you want to earn money.

maby you could check with the casino hotels, i am sure you could get hired as a maid.

unfortuneately in vegas you are going to need to get a work permit since you are underage and being that you are 14 most places wont hire you most companies have a policy of not hiring until minimum age of 16 but you may be able to get work in a roofing company or a landscaping company,

Your Neighborhood. Start charging people $10 - $15 a week to clean their landscape rocks or mow their lawns. Once you build up some savings purchase some equipment to expand your services. You can do the whole thing on a cash basis. This will get you experience & build up a client base all tax free. Sure it will be hard work and hot, but after a few years, you will have made a ton of money (for a teenager). If you don't like it anymore after a few years, you can simply turn over the clients to a partner that you have taken on from a grade or two lower than you, and move on to better things. You'll have a list of dependable references, and the ability to say you started your own comapny at 14 years old and have been successfull ever since. Or, if business is good, get a legitimate license, get some formal business and botany education, and expand the business. You'll have the lowest overhead of anybody out there, and the experience to land you more lucrative contracts.

Are there any nonprofit jobs near henderson, NC?
I am looking to move out to NC with my sister. But my a quick search online, it doesn't seem that there are many jobs in that area in my line of work (BS in Rehabilitation Services). I work with ppl who have disabilities. Does anyone know of any organization near henderson, nc or nearby places (in NC or VA) that I can look for jobs?

Your best bet would be to live closer to Raleigh and work there. The Raleigh area has many jobs in this field.

I live in Henderson, and there are always Hispanic men waiting by Start Nursery. How come they chose to stand there?

I used to live there....Is there a bus stop nearby...or it could be a common landmark for people to get picked up to or from work....

In VA every 7-11 you see there are about 50 Hispanics waiting outside to get picked up for day labor.....

Because unlike most unemployed Caucasians(and Blacks) they know to go where the work is, lunch packed, ready to do a job for as much money per day as the market will bear. Employers go there because they know they will get employees who will do backbreaking work for very little money and do the job better than people they would be paying more to.

because they need work. you answered your own question. they probably know that there are people going to the business who are trying to redecorate or something. my cousin got some of the hispanic men who stand in front of home depot to redo her attic. it looks good as hell by the way . it is a hustle, not a legitimate form of work but pays the bills.

On top of that, how many Caucasians or white undocumented immigrants do you notice standing around and looking for work? There are a lot of them. However, this is a racial issue as much as it was ever an immigration issue. It's better than dealing with them standing on the strip trying to hand you hooker ads. Can't even walk down the sidewalk without having to dodge at least 5 of them. Not that I have a problem with the smut. Just too many people on the street already. No need to add more loitering.

Can I work in Nevada as an esthetician if I'm licensed in California?
I'm a licensed esthetician in California and am planning on moving to henderson Nevada in the summer. I was wondering if anyone knows what steps I need to take to get my Nevada state board license. I have 600 hours which is the same as needed in NV but not sure if I have to take another test.

About Question about the police department

Question about the police department?
When I grow up I want to work with Henderson Police Department (in NV). Which get paid more, k-9 cops or regular cops? Just a question :)

usually same pay - in my jurisdiction gotta be a regular officer first run - run - run all the best

Regular cops actually get payed more, because its almost but not really rare to call in the k-9. you cant use a k-9 on a usual traffic stop. Theres your answer!

In my department the patrol officers and K-9 officers are on the same pay scale. K-9 officers often will have some built in overtime or monthly stipend to cover costs of feeding and caring for their partner on off days.
